Of course, there is no firm set definition, but to be considered a high end piano, there must be some combination of history and heritage with a focus on craftsmanship, a specific idea of sound and an intention to serve a small market through models, price points and production. There is some concern when there are mulltiple lines, at different price points, with distinctly different construction techniques, sharing the same name. High end means focus and commitment. |
